Recently I’ve stumbled upon a video trend asking celebrities what their top 4 Letterboxd movies are. I’m by no stretch of the imagination a celebrity but I wanted to share what my favorite movies are. Now, I’m by no means a film critic so don’t be prepared for lengthy sections here. This is just for fun! You can even check my profile out here.

Mulan

To save her father from certain death in the army, Mulan secretly enlists in his place. Whilst disguised she becomes one of China’s greatest heroines in the process. This fun story is about family, honor, and courage. By the end, it will certainly make a man out of you.
As a child this was repeated beyond counting. I just loved the songs and themes in this movie. Being from top Disney animation times, even the art and animation was superb.

Moulin Rouge

A young poet is plunged into the heady world of Moulin Rouge. He begins a passionate affair with the club’s most notorious and beautiful star. Unfortunately there is only one rule- to never fall in love. This tragic tale of love is one of few that can truly make you feel so many emotions in so little time. Moulin Rouge earned its spot in top four as it is the most spectacular spectacular romance musical’s I’ve seen.

El Camino

In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse Pinkman must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future. Set after Breaking Bad, this perfectly sums up Jesse’s story arc. This continuation builds upon the original series in ways that I could not have imagined possible. Because of this, and the fact I’m a Jesse Pinkman stan, it is in my top four movies.

Terrifier

A maniacal clown named Art terrorizes three young women on Halloween night and everyone else who stands in his way. It honestly surprised me a slasher could be so funny! Art doesn’t speak but says so much through his body language- miming everything perfectly. I love how Damien Leone manged to make horror and comedy combine so well.
