Going to the cinema is one of my favourite ways to unwind, and this last quarter of the year has some really exciting releases on the way. From magical musicals to futuristic adventures, there’s a bit of everything to look forward to. I’ve picked out a few movies that have definitely caught my eye. Here’s what’s got me excited to grab my popcorn this season!

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2

I absolutely adored the first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. As a fan of not only the film but also the games, I’m really excited to see how the sequel turns out. From the trailers, it looks like the entire gang from the second game will be making an appearance. If that’s the case, it’ll be amazing to see how they’re brought to life on screen. Blumhouse are some of the best in the business, so I have a lot of faith in what they can do.

Wicked: For Good or Evil

The first Wicked movie — and the stage musical it’s based on — were both incredible. The casting was spot on, and the songs were amazing! This sequel has a lot to live up to, so I have high hopes for the finale. There are a few storylines to wrap up, and seeing them come together on screen will be really exciting.

Tron: Ares

I’ll be honest — I’ve never actually seen the previous Tron movies, but Tron: Ares has definitely caught my attention. The visuals look incredible, and the whole futuristic, neon-world vibe seems really different from most of what’s coming out right now. Even without knowing the full backstory, it looks like something I could easily get into, especially with all the action and tech-heavy atmosphere. It might even convince me to go back and watch the earlier films before it comes out!
