As I only work part time I have a lot of time to devote to my hobbies. My hobbies help me to relax, be creative, and most importantly to have fun. On this blog I don’t always talk about all of them so I wanted to share thoughts about them here.

Reading
I absolutely love to get stuck into stories, and reading is my favorite way to do that. With reading you can use your imagination to create the world that you are reading about and turn it into reality! In the future I would love to create more blog posts about books too.
My favorite genres: Fantasy, graphic novels, and biographies
My favorite series: Hunger Games

Photography

When I was 12/13 I chose to take a leap of faith and do photography for GCSE’s and ever since then it has been a hobby of mine. I really love taking photos of nature and sometimes dabble with architecture photography. In the future I would love to restart my Instagram and have a website dedicated to my photography. If you want to see a glimpse of my work see it here!

Gaming

Gaming is my second favorite way to digest stories. Actually being in the story feels different to imagining it! Since I was little I’ve loved this hobby and probably will do for a long time. This medium has so much potential and I would love to see how it develops in the future.
My favorite genres: Simulation, story-based, and action/adventure
My favorite games: Minecraft, Sims 4, and Skyrim.

Watching TV Shows and Movies

Despite the fact I prefer movies in general, I love both TV and movies. These are the most easy entertainment in the market right now! As they are easy ways to digest a story, I tend to watch too many of them despite being my least favorite way of consuming stories. If you would like my past thoughts on movies see here and here.
My favorite genres: Fantasy, musicals, and animation
My favorite movies: Mulan, Moulin Rouge, and El Camino
My favorite series: Breaking Bad, Beastars, and Stranger Things.

Walking and Standing Yoga

As I am very sedentary I use walking and yoga to move my body. As these are really easy to do and move my body I try to do them regularly. Out of the two walking is the one I do the most. Walking helps get away from screens and distractions of social media whilst allowing me to find peace in the world. Yoga can do the same but not to the same degree for me.

Overall I feel like I have a combination of creative, active and relaxing which is always helpful to have. Do you have a mixture of hobbies? If you do feel free to share!
