Due to an inside joke on a Discord server, I’ve decided to make a post about how to not be a Discord mod. I hope you can learn a little about how to be a better mod.

Being a Frankie

What this is you cannot laugh at anything so you ban people over it. A server full of berry enthusiasts- not funny. Taking the mick out of Mike Ehrmantraut- not funny. One time a mod, called Frankie, banned a lot of me and my friends for this. So naturally, don’t be a Frankie.

Not have set in stone morals

I was once in a discord server where they kept letting in someone who kept on breaking the rules. This made it feel like keeping to the rules not worth it. If you don’t want this then stick to the morals that is set please.

Not be able to be chronically online

To be the best mod you need to be able to be around at all times. If you have a job of any kind, don’t even think about it. It is a mods job to be chronically online for no pay at all.

So in essence, you need to not be a Frankie, have set morals, and be chronically online to be a good mod. If you aren’t any of those I would advise that you are.
